About Bahia
Why has Bahia enchanted so many people? The answer can only be given by those who’s been in Bahia, seen its nature wonders and also its culture and people, fruits of the miscegenation of the Indigenous, the European and the African, who connected here, generating a magical, involving and mysterious energy. No state of Brazil has a greater treasure of history and ecology to protect according to UNESCO’s World Heritage list for Brazil. That itself can give to visitors the idea of how openminded people can be when they exchange their values in life. Should it be possible to synthesize this? If so, the closest word would be diversity. Bahia is indigenous, black and white; it is the blend of all the possible combinations between those people. It is of all faiths. Bahia is pop, reggae, samba and rock. It is baroque, neoclassic and modern. It is sun and sea along its 1.000km of coastline, but it is also the drylands and tablelands. It is rappel, caving, trekking, but also golfing, cannoning, canoeing, sailing, fishing and diving.
